Cockeysville Volunteer Fire Company is saddened to announce the passing of life member Clarence Tracy. Clarence had 57 years of service to the company as well as a career as a Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator and Cardiac Rescue Technician in the Baltimore County Fire Department. Clarence began at Cockeysville in 1958 and by 1966, he had held the office of 1st and 3rd Fire LIT. In 1968 Clarence served on the Board of Directors and became President in 1969 and 1970. Clarence would serve as President again in 76, 77, and 78. He then served as Vice President in 88, 89 and 90. Clarence returned to President in 91 and 92, served on the Board of Directors in 93 and held the office of President one last time in 94. Clarence then completed two more years on the Board of Directors in 97 and 98. Recently Clarence held the role of Delegate to the Baltimore County Volunteer Fireman’s Association and the Maryland State Fireman’s Association and was named Maryland State Fireman’s Association Hall of Fame in 2013.
