Santa in the Community
Every year, Santa (and sometimes a special guest) borrows Sleigh 398 and heads around to the various neighborhoods in Cockeysville and Hunt Valley. Beginning in late September, CVFC asks the communities for help to make his visits a success.
We ask that each neighborhood/HOA that is interested in having Santa visit complete the form below so that we can schedule Santa’s time effectively. Donations are appreciated for Santa visits. Please use the form below to provide contact information for a neighborhood representative, the date you would Santa to visit, and whether you would like us to just drive through your community or if you will be organizing a community event for us to stop at.
Sleigh 398 is towed independently of the fire engine; thus, Santa is able to continue visiting even if the fire engine is alerted for a call. CVFC also uses Glympse GPS tracking to allow you to follow Santa in near real time. While we do everything possible to keep on schedule, we do sometimes run into delays. We also ask, for everyone’s safety, please ensure the streets are accessible (if people are driving to a central area, ensure that they do not block access to our equipment) and that parents ensure children are kept safe while equipment is arriving and departing.
Please note that due to BCVFA fundraising guidelines, we can only bring our equipment to neighborhoods in our fundraising area, which is defined as roughly north of Padonia road, south of Belfast road, east of Falls Road and west of Phoenix road. If you are uncertain, feel free to submit the form and we will let you know. If you live outside this area, you can contact your respective volunteer fire company.
